Before continuing, let me say now that REIKI and ENERGY WORK helped save my life! As a result of the below mentioned car accident as a child, in October '98 I had an Anterior Caging Spinal Fusion of my L5/S1 vertebrae. Since I no longer had this disc, and I wished to continue here with my life, I "chose" the surgery. This process also required the proper repositioning of my spinal column, and a repositioning of skull plates along with scar tissue release. Reiki helped prepare my body for the surgery, then I received Reiki from friends during my brief hospitalization, then continued with Reiki treatments daily. MY SPINE WAS COMPLETELY FUSED IN LESS THAN SIX MONTHS and I was released from the oversight of my surgeon!!! Though I still visit my Chiropractor, I have regained almost all of my mobility, and all my life! I have always felt very connected to anything "paranormal", reading whatever materials that especially addressed psychic and energetic phenomena. As a teen and young adult I intuitively felt the urge to put my hands on a friends head to help make a headache go away, or my hands on a sore knee to help the pain disappear. This always worked, but it wasn't until my late twenties when I stumbled upon a tv special on Qi Gong Masters that I finally learnt what it was I had been attracted to all those years! This, along with seeking an understanding of energetic and psychic phenomena, led me to research who in the Triangle area taught Reiki and Energy Work. This search led me to Reiki Master Mary Mooney, from whom I received my Usui Reiki training.
